  • Backorder
    If an item in your order is currently out of stock, we will contact you immediately via email.
  • How long will it take to receive my order?
    Our orders are usually filled and shipped within 7-14 business days. In non-holiday season, we can usually get an order filled and shipped within one week. We ship USPS or FedEx. If you would like to have it sooner, Just let us know and we will charge you accordingly!
  • Shelf Life for Mio Cosmetics Products
    Because our Mio Cosmetics products are made using various natural ingredients, we recommend using our products within 6 months for freshest "consumption." You can help extend the life of your products by storing them in their closed container in a dry, cool, dark environment. Avoid getting water into a product's container when using in the shower or tub
  • What are your shipping fees?
    Parcel are mailed locally and internationally. Cost per parcel dependent on weight and destination
  • Animal Testing
    We respect all living creatures and therefore never test any of our Mio Cosmetics products on animals. All of our products ARE tested, however, on live human beings. So far, with great success (and requests for more)!
  • Disclaimer
    Please note that all our products are handmade to order for you. We strive for consistency, but because each order is made by hand, this cannot always be achieved. We hope you will be satisfied with the products you receive. If for any reason you are less than thrilled with your item, please contact our Customer Care department within 1 week of receipt.
  • Gift Certificates - Cards
    We offer e-gift certificates or gift cards which may be applied to any purchase through our website. Certificates, from $10 on up, are delivered immediately via email. (It's a great solution to a late, or almost late, gift!) FYI: They are not replaceable if lost or stolen.
  • Why won't more than one coupon work in your coupon section?
    We only allow one coupon per order. Although we may look like a large company, we are a small operation and wish to stay in business while still offering you great deals!! So, sorry, only one coupon at a time please...:)
  • Are your products all-natural?
    We strive to use the most natural ingredients possible. The place we run in to trouble is preservatives and fragrances. We do not wish to subject our product users to little "bugs" that may grow inside your bottle or jar, so we use a paraben-free preservative. Secondly, fragrance is what made Me fall in love with this business to start with. If we completely limit ourselves to only essential oils (fragrances derived solely from plants) we limit ourselves to the greatness that is a man-made fragrance. None of our oils are cut and do not contain alcohol (unless you order a cologne).
  • What is your return policy
    Order Changes or Cancellations: We work hard to get packages to you as quickly as possible. As a result, once your order is submitted we cannot accept cancellations or changes. Return Policy Due to the nature of our all natural products, we cannot assure the purity of merchandise once it has been shipped. For safety and hygiene reasons this merchandise cannot be restocked or resold so we do not accept returns. We know that it can be difficult to order new skin care products online, that is why we offer our soaps, shampoo bars, and many other products in sample or trial sizes so that you can experiment. Your satisfaction is our goal and we truly believe that you will love our products, but if you are unhappy, please let us know. We want you to have a positive experience and will work with you if you are not pleased with your purchase. Mio Cosmetics is not responsible for any individual reaction to any particular ingredient. Each product description on our website includes a complete list of ingredients. People with sensitivities to any listed ingredient should not use the product. In case you are in doubt always try an allergy patch test and if at any time irritation occurs, discontinue use of the product
  • Is there an expiration date on my natural skincare product?
    We hand blend all of our own products in small batches to ensure freshness, consistency, and perfection. Our products are not made to sit on store shelves for years and years. Although there are natural preservatives within the chemical structure of natural ingredients, they are nowhere near as potent as the synthetic preservatives used in commercial products to prolong shelf-life. Other than soap, our products are remade every few weeks and none are very old when they are sold. Our products, other than soa. Should be opened within 6 months of purchase. Since we use no preservatives or chemical stabilizers. The more important question is, "how long will the product last once it has been opened? Once opened, skin care products become exposed to dirt and microorganisms (bacteria, yeasts, and molds) that are found in the air and on the skin. As soon as you open and begin to use any product, simply the way in which you use it will affect its lifespan. So, we are beginning to use the PAO (period-after-opening) symbol. These symbols are already available on the product pages of our website and we are in the process of adding them to all of our labels. The POA symbol is a standard symbol that identifies the useful lifetime of a skin care product after it has been opened for the first time. As you can see from the picture on the left, the symbol is an open jar with a written number and the letter "M" for the word "months." A product with a "6M" would mean that it is good for 6 months after opening. Tip: write the date you open a product for the first time on its label so you can keep track of the period after opening. This POA number represents our best suggestion. There are many factors that can affect the lifespan of a product. If a product is discolored, has an unpleasant smell or looks odd, the product should not be used and should be discarded. Each time you place your warm fingers into a tin or jar, you melt some of the butter which can change the consistency of the product. Fingers also introduce bacteria and other contaminants into the product. If a product has not been stored properly, for example, if the lid has been left off for long periods of time, the product may ‘go off’ before the period after opening has passed. As scented products age, some of the natural essential oil scent may be lost. Pure essential oils just do not have the staying power of synthetic fragrance oils. Over time, natural colors may also fade. If you’re like me, and you find an old dusty product hiding in a drawer, makeup bag, or even a suitcase from your last trip, you can call us with the lot number and we can verify its age. Obviously, if it seems off in any way, toss it! Please note: This PAO symbol is widely used in Europe to recommend the length of time a product remains usable after opening, for products that have a shelf-life of at least 30 months. Our products do NOT have a shelf-life of 30 months before opening.
